E17 Jazz Plays George Gershwin
E17 Jazz return to the Trades Hall with a programme of George Gershwin music.
George Gershwin was an American composer and pianist whose work spanned both classical and popular genres. He is the composer of some of the most celebrated and performed standards in the jazz repertoire. Some of his best known tunes include: Summertime, Lady be Good, Embraceable You and I Got Rhythm. The performance will feature some of Gershwin’s best known tunes with new arrangements as well as some of his lesser known pieces.
The Walthamstow Trades Hall is a unique venue in the heart of E17. It has a large main room and stage and a well stocked (reasonably priced) bar – food can also be brought in from surrounding restaurants.. Its a short walk from Walthamstow Central tube station on the Victoria Line.
